Approaches I LUV!

Washington DC (DCA): When flying into Washington DC (Reagan National Airport) and if you are on the southern approach, sit on the left side of the aircraft. You will have a great view of the Capital Mall. If you sit on the right side, you will see the Pentagon and the Air Forces Spires.

San Diego, CA (SAN): Sit on the right side by the window. As the plane lowers to the ground you will fly over Balboa park and the Navy Hospital. It will look as if you can reach your hand out and touch the buildings. Mr. A’s is always a landmark to look for. And, of course when on the ground you will be looking directly into the Marine training ground.

Chicago, Midway (MDW): Usually the plane comes in from the south and lands to the north. But occasionally the pattern shifts to a southern landing. In both cases you will want to sit on the right side of the aircraft. This gives a great view of downtown Chicago. On a clear day, it is breathtaking.

The great buildings are picturesque against the blue water of the lake.
